Welcome to The Plough
|The Plough is a traditional local pub in that is the heart of the village of Beddington. Built in 1897 on the site of an 18th century inn. The pub still has a tunnel in the cellar that leads to Carew Manor in Beddington Park which was frequently visited by Queen Elizabeth 1st and Sir Walter Raleigh whose head is buried in the churchyard of St. Mary’s Church.
A fresh and seasonal British menu is served daily that celebrates the absolute best of British produce. The menu is designed to take you back to those nostalgic British dishes that put a smile on your face. With the sun starting to come out we are reopening our famous Burger Shack! Serving up some delicious signature burgers that are perfect for these beautiful summer days out in our beautiful beer Garden.
We frequently show various sporting events as we have BT and Sky Sports. We’re gearing up for a packed sporting summer with Wimbledon here and the tour de france, British Grand Prix later in July. We then can’t wait for the Rugby Internationals and the Rugby World Cup coming up this September, hosted from Japan. We’ll be showing as much of the action as possible.
We’re a 10 minute walk from Waddon Station (0.8m) or a 20 minute walk from Wallington Station (1.2m).
